12/06/2014 „Georgian Water and Power“ Hosted the Medical University Students of at the Grmagele Headworks
„Georgian Water and Power“ held for the third time an informational and educational tour for the students of Medical University of Tbilisi today. 25 second-year students of public health department of Medical University visited the Grmagele headworks and water quality controller Central Chemical and Microbiological Laboratory to share experience.
The students familiarized themselves with all main technological processes of raw water transforming into potable water and learnt at first hand that tap water in Tbilisi is a quality product made by the company especially for the population of Tbilisi.
The students showed particular interest in the specificity of work of „Georgian Water and Power“ Central Chemical and Microbiological Laboratory. They saw it for themselves how the laboratory specialists are controlling organoleptic, chemical and microbiological qualities and parameters of drinking water, dosing chlorine and inspecting residual chlorine in drinking water.
The Central Chemical and Microbiological Laboratory of „Georgian Water and Power“ is one of the technically competent and independent laboratories in Georgia accredited with ISO-17025 standard and inspecting quality of drinking water in a 24-hour mode. The Central Laboratory coordinates operation of other paboratories of the Company.
