02/07/2014 ”Georgian Water & Power” ” showed its headworks to the Zaldastanishvili American Academy Students
“Georgian Water & Power” company showed today its headworks in Zhinvali and Aragvi Gorge to the students of Guivi Zaldastanishvili Amercian Academy.
The American Academy students, who do a special course in sustainable management and efficient use of water resources, this time expressed interest in main issues related to water supply to Tbilisi. Georgian Water & Power” offered them informational tour to make them firstly familiarized with such important water supply facilities as Zhinvalu hydraulic complex and Natakhtari water supply system. The company’s specialists provided tour guidance of the students. The young people observed main technological processes which Aragvi river water undergoes in the process of raw water transformation into drinking; they obtained theoretical information about drinking water quality in Tbilisi, its 24-hour monitoring and technical processes, related to the individual supply of drinking water to each consumer in Tbilisi.
The yougsters will observe specific features of work of the company’s different facilities during 10 days and listen to the short course of lectures prepared for them. After termination of the summer informational tour and the course of lectures the students of Guivi Zaldastanishvili Amercian Academy will receive corresponding certificates from “Georgian Water & Power.”
